The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework explains how and what your child will be learning to support their healthy development.
Your child will be learning skills, acquiring new knowledge and demonstrating their understanding through seven areas of learning and development.
Children should mostly develop three prime areas first. These are:

These seven areas are used to plan your child’s learning and activities. Each child is assessed using the EYFS through a variety of observations made while they are playing.
Across the nursery, we also work on letters and sounds to encourage phonics and rhyming in preparation for children moving on to primary school.
These developmental stars help us notice and support the skills children are building through everyday play and relationships.
Children are mixed together throughout the nursery day. Every child spends time in the Quiet Room each day with their key person, while the Main Activity Room supports shared play, stories and group learning.
Our EYFS curriculum supports relationships, communication, movement, creativity and discovery across both spaces.
